This road is nothing more than a dirt path with grass on the edges. The dirt has started to sink into the ground for some odd reason. The dirt has started to sink into the ground for some odd reason, animals must be digging holes under the road. A peasants cart has been left here, it is full of wheat for the town kitchen. The remaining wheat will be used for animal feed through the winter. The butcher shop you've been smelling so much is next to the town center. The road to the town center is made of flat stones up to a small garden where it loops around and continues on south. Some of the stones are crooked and most are covered with a lot of dirt. A town clean up could bring this run down place into something much more like a city. It looks as if a beaver helped them construct there buildings out of mud and logs. The Road of the Slingers starts just south of this room. The gates of Lerges are directly north. The gates are made of iron and have a wooden cross on the outside. The Tower of Serlon stands tall to the west. It is probably the towns best protection from attackers or any meat-eating animals that may try to slip in at night. The walls are made of timber and are built to withstand a great amount of force. You can see a watchtower a little south of here with green moss growing up the side. You sense that the guards here are really devoted to there town and religion. You can see much of there equipment has a cross on it and coated in silver. Dark smoke rises from the many shops in town. It seems to be very peaceful town, but the guards are quiet and do not speak often. Wooden boards hang over the front of the gate darkening the room. A few bees are buzzing around them. It's a good thing they are so busy with the flowers they don't notice your presence. They would most likely attack you if they knew you where standing so close to them. You can see a tent on the west side of the road just south a bit. A family must be camping in the field. The stream would provide a great spot for a camping site. You can see a man fishing in the stream beside his tent and campfire. There is a large redwood tree to the north with birds chirping away. You can just barely make out a tunnel or perhaps a cave in the hillside to the north. [ Exits: n s ] A sign, rotting away through the ages, is at the end of the bridge. You can see a gate to the south just ahead. Hopefully the people from this village are friendly and inviting. Actually it doesn't look that bad but more like a warm inviting place. Then the wind changes and you catch a whiff of those beautiful meats. They must have one hell of a cook working there. Just before the gate there is a stone bridge across a large stream. The bridge was made by a fine craftsman indeed, there must have been a lot of planning in it's construction. A stone bridge of this type could only have been made by the finest dwarves around. Accurate stones like these could have only been mined by a dwarf in the deepest caves in the world. Little creatures inhabit this place with almost no attention to your existence. Some tasty looking fruits and vegetables are growing here. A small bush is on the eastern side with some nice ripe red berries growing on it. The animals have consumed a fair amount of the fruits and vegetables but there is still plenty for yourself to take. You should leave it for the animals to eat, who knows how long it will last with the rate they are eating it. The rocks to the east and west are loose enough that they could fall at any minute. You can see light just ahead to the south where the tunnel opens up. You can hear sounds of hammers and voices from the southern end of the tunnel. Their smoked meats could drive a man insane if he didn't get some. You can clearly identify the smell of ham and pork in the air. Anyone would love to get some of those cooked meats. Opening of a Old Mine Tunnel into a Field The tunnel opens up in a small forest. Little creatures inhabit this place with almost no attention to your existence. Some tasty looking fruits and vegetables are growing here. A small bush is on the eastern side with some nice ripe red berries growing on it. The animals have consumed a fair amount of the fruits and vegetables but there is still plenty for yourself to take. Just before the gate there is a stone bridge across a large stream. The bridge was made by a fine craftsman indeed, there must have been a lot of planning in it's construction. A stone bridge of this type could only have been made by the finest dwarves around. Accurate stones like these could have only been mined by a dwarf in the deepest caves in the world. There is a large redwood tree to the north with birds chirping away. You can just barely make out a tunnel or perhaps a cave in the hillside to the north. The Road of the Slingers starts just south of this room. The gates of Lerges are directly north. The gates are made of iron and have a wooden cross on the outside. The Tower of Serlon stands tall to the west. It is probably the towns best protection from attackers or any meat-eating animals that may try to slip in at night. Road of the Slingers The city barracks is beyond the wall to the east, it's walls are old and rotted. There are drag marks to a platform with a noose hanging from a wooden beam. The town center is just beyond the platform and you can see people walking around. The butcher shop you've been smelling so much is next to the town center. The road to the town center is made of flat stones up to a small garden where it loops around and continues on south. Some of the stones are crooked and most are covered with a lot of dirt. A town clean up could bring this run down place into something much more like a city. It looks as if a beaver helped them construct there buildings out of mud and logs. The Town Intersection You first notice the flower garden that causes the road to split and loop around it. The flowers are drying up and the soil they are growing in isnt much better. A small fence is holding the dirt from spilling onto the road. A fence or not wouldn't make much difference since it's so dry it's probably a rock anyways. There is a stadium with a noose on it and you can see a man in the stocks. His white beard gives you the idea he is very old and will probably die in the stocks if he is out in the sun too long. There are some villagers on a small farm by the town center. They are working hard digging, planting, and some other farming tasks. The Forest Road This is the end of the forest road, east the road of the slingers runs north and south through town. The road is nothing more than a dirt path, with grass on the edges. It meets the west gate and continues beyond a thick forest. The dirt has started to sink into the ground for some odd reason, animals must be digging holes under the road. Smoke would take some hard work to get this gate open, it would be best to just tear it down and rebuild it. The forest road continues off to the east to the beside the jail cells and the gallows.
